Additional Services

Beyond oxygen cleaning and our own valve range, OXYCHECK tests, services and certifies the oxygen and high-pressure gas equipment that keeps aircraft, hospitals and industrial gas systems running. Everything is done in-house at our Heathwood, Brisbane workshop by people who specialise in oxygen safety, and every job leaves with a certificate you can file straight into your maintenance or quality records.

Hose pressure testing

Hydrostatic proof testing of high-pressure oxygen, nitrogen and breathing-gas hose assemblies — from short whip hoses to 15 m servicing-reel hoses.

What we do

  • Inspection of the hose, end fittings and markings before test
  • Hydrostatic proof test with water, typically at 1.5 × the rated working pressure (for example 7,500 psi for a 5,000 psi hose), or to your specification. Test pressures up to 15,000 psi
  • Hold at test pressure — five minutes as standard — and inspect for leaks, weeping or distortion
  • Drying and, for oxygen service, oxygen cleaning, capping and bagging after the test

What you receive

  • A pressure test certificate for each serialised hose: working pressure, test pressure, hold time, test medium and result
  • The calibrated gauge used, with its calibration due date
  • A conformity statement against your purchase order

Valve service & supply

We design and manufacture the OXYCHECK range of non-flammable oxygen check valves, relief valves and manifolds — and we service them, along with the oxygen servicing kits, panels, hose reels and ground-support carts they are fitted to.

Valve and kit service

  • Strip-down, oxygen cleaning and inspection of every part
  • Replacement of worn parts and reassembly under clean conditions
  • Functional test of each valve — cracking pressure, reseat pressure and reverse leakage — recorded against its serial number
  • Scheduled servicing of oxygen kits and manifold assemblies, such as 24- and 48-month services

Supply

What you receive

  • Certificate of Conformance listing part numbers, quantities and serial numbers
  • Functional test results for each valve
  • Material traceability — component lots, heat numbers and mill certificates — when your contract requires it

Gauge calibration

Calibration of the pressure gauges used on oxygen and high-pressure gas systems, by comparison against a reference gauge.

What we do

  • Comparison calibration at points across the full scale, rising and falling
  • Reference gauge accuracy of 0.1 % of reading
  • Analogue and digital gauges with psi, bar or kPa scales
  • Oxygen cleaning before return, if the gauge is for oxygen service

What you receive

  • A calibration certificate with every reading, the error at each point and the measurement uncertainty
  • Details of the reference instrument and its calibration status
  • The next calibration due date

Helium leak testing

Helium leak testing finds leaks far smaller than a bubble or pressure-drop test can — the right check for valves, manifolds and assemblies that must be gas-tight in oxygen service.

What we do

  • Tracer-gas testing of components and assemblies pressurised with helium, using a calibrated helium leak detector
  • Sniffer testing of joints, seals and fittings
  • Test pressure, helium concentration and acceptance criterion agreed with you before testing

What you receive

  • A helium leak test certificate: method, test pressure, equipment and its calibration status
  • The measured leak rate and a pass or fail result for each serial number

Why OXYCHECK

Oxygen specialists

Our Managing Director, Dr Ted Steinberg, was a founding member of ASTM International Committee G-04 on oxygen compatibility. We investigate oxygen fires as well as preventing them.

Proven in aviation

OXYCHECK valves have been used on Australian Defence Force aircraft including the P-3 Orion, Caribou and PC-9.

One supplier, full records

Cleaning, testing and certification under one roof, with calibrated equipment and traceability back to material heat numbers.

Industries we work with

  • Aviation — civil and defence, including ground-support equipment
  • Medical and hyperbaric oxygen
  • Industrial gas, compressors and breathing air

How to get a quote

  1. Tell us the item, quantity and the standard you need — use the quote form or call 07 3737 4135.
  2. Send drawings, part numbers or photos if you have them.
  3. We confirm the price and turnaround. Typical turnaround is two weeks for small orders, and aircraft-on-ground (AOG) work can be prioritised to two days for most jobs.

Frequently asked questions

Do you test equipment made by other manufacturers?

Yes. We test and certify hose assemblies, valves and gauges from other manufacturers, and will tell you if a part is not suitable for oxygen service.

Can testing and oxygen cleaning be done in the same job?

Yes. Testing, oxygen cleaning and bagging can be combined so parts come back ready to install.

Do I get a certificate for each item?

Yes. Every serialised item is listed with its own result, and the certificate refers to your purchase order.
